Middle school is a challenging time both socially and emotionally. It’s important to have positive figures in the daily experience to help students navigate the two year period. For Maize Middle School, few have provided more support over the years than Nurse Shelly Funk. However, Funk will be saying her goodbyes as she has decided retire. Kate Lampkin and Jillian Dopps sat down with Funk to talk about her time at the Middle School.
