Local pumpkin patch closes amid legal scandal
Owners of the local pumpkin patch Cedar Creek Farm made headlines earlier this fall after being charged with child abuse. After an attempt to keep the farm open, owners announced the farm would close permanently in late October, and the land on which the pumpkin patch sits will be going up for auction on Nov. 11 with a closing date set for Nov. 20.

Sophomore, Emma Palmer has been involved in media since 7th grade and is in her 2nd Semester of OneMaize Media. Palmer has created content as in “Explorin’ with Emma and Lauryn”. Emma hopes to continue to engage in new career opportunities within the field of broadcast journalism. She’s also involved in STUCO, Student ambassadors, and is a Flygirl on the Maize High dance team.
