Opportunities over excuses: Sixth grader pursues sports dreams despite prosthetic
Maize South Intermediate’s Lana Aronis is just like any other sixth grader. She’s outgoing, loves hanging out with friends, and is involved in a variety of different activities and sports. Despite suffering a devastating accident as a toddler, Aronis continues to learn and play different sports like running, volleyball and even swimming.

Sophomore Lance Schafer is in his second year as a OneMaize Media staff member. When he’s not working on stories, he’s playing Tennis and Volleyball or doing acting and singing. Lance intends on going to K-State for college and pursuing a career in Journalism.
Junior Mason Bauman is in his second year of being on the OneMaize Media team. His role on the team is video editor and videographer. In his free time he likes to bowl, play games, and hang out with friends and family. He hopes to become successful architectural engineer at K-State University.
