VIDEO: Horizon Award winner shines through S.T.E.M.
Maize South Middle School teacher Ivy Daugherty has captured the attention of students through her incorporation of S.T.E.M. with robotics, design and engineering. OneMaize Media’s Kareegan Tipton and Melanie Coombs took a trip to Daugherty’s classroom to get a first hand look into the unique opportunities available to her students.

Melanie Coombs, Videographer
Senior Melanie Coombs is in her fourth year on the OneMaize Media staff. She returns to the team as a videographer and a strong video editor. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music, painting, and reading. Coombs has no established college plans but hopes to pursue a career in broadcasting and journalism.
Kareegan Tipton, Videographer
Kareegan Tipton, a junior, is in her second year and third semester at One Maize Media. She loves to create and edit content as well as cook and bake. She plans on pursuing both her media and culinary ambitions out of high school.
