Maize graduate advances past first battle round on ‘The Voice’

glant

2012 graduate Kaleigh Glanton recently auditioned for the sixth season of “The Voice.” Not only did Adam Levine turn his chair for Glanton, but so did the three other judges. She chose to join Blake Shelton’s team. Kaleigh beat out Noah Lis in the first battle round singing a duet to the song ‘Everything’ by Michael Buble.

The Voice is a reality television singing competition where singers across America audition in front of four judges, including Shakira and Usher. The judges’ chairs are turned away from the singer, who tries to win over the judges with just their voice. If the judges decide they like the voice, they turn their chairs toward the singer. If multiple judges turn their chairs, the person auditioning gets to pick which judge they can have as a singing coach.

The second battle round will be aired Monday on NBC.
