Hours of walking around in heels, tight skirts, uncomfortable shirts and a face full of makeup. To some people that sounds like a nightmare, but for BPA students’ it’s just another competition. Maize High’s Business Professionals of America, BPA, members competed at a state competition on Saturday. Ten students are advancing to Nationals which will be held in Boston in May of this year.

“My favorite part about BPA is feeling like a grown up. You have to dress really businessy,” sophomore Jadyn Landreth said, “Especially at competition, like everybody looks like an adult and I just think it’s so fun. Plus I love graphic design.”

Traveling to Boston is not going to be easy, but junior Parker Raile looks forward to spending time with her friends and competing in subjects she loves.
