School records set by girls golf on Tuesday

The girls golf team set a school record of 318 shots this Tuesday at Salina. Senior Taelyn Entriken also set a school record individually, shooting an 67. Entriken beat the old school record by eight shots.

“They’re all working hard and have great attitudes,” coach Ben Harlow said.

Last year the girls took second at state. Harlow thinks that they can do that again this year and hopes they can do better.

“It’s going to depend on the day they have,” Harlow said. “There is going to be like six really good teams we are going to have to beat.”

The girls will be in action again Wednesday, Oct. 2 at Sim Park Golf Course.
