Last spring, FFA took part in a local commercial for the Sedgwick County Farm Bureau Association. Sophomore Brandon Carp’s family owns a farm and his father is on the board of the Sedgwick County Farm Bureau.

“They are trying to promote agricultural education, so they came and took video of us doing some stuff working with the hydroponix and speaking,” Carp said. “They also had another aspect where they came out to my family’s farm….[T]hey filmed us doing work and eating at the dinner table.”

The Sedgwick County Farm Bureau are big supporters of the FFA Club which is why they wanted them involved in the commercial.

The commercial has not started airing on television yet but is set to start airing sometime this month. It will be airing on the Weather Channel, KWCH and KSCW three to four times a day, every day, for eight weeks. This will cover ⅔ of the state of Kansas, northern Oklahoma and the eastern edge of Colorado.
