The Eagles left their Salina Central doubleheader last night with a clean sweep. After a continuously oscillating lead, the Eagles finally sealed the deal in a strong seventh inning with help from an RBI by junior Jake Karst. The Eagles won the first game 6-4.
Hungry for another win, the team had the right mindset heading into the second game. Salina Central had a tough time competing with the Eagles’ offense, managing to rack up 13 RBIs in the second game alone and six runs in the fifth inning. Senior Corrigan Bartlett led the team RBI’s, accounting for 3 of them.
The Eagles will travel to Salina South to face the Cougars Friday for a doubleheader.
