Changes to be made to the 2015 Senior Parade

Due to safety and security issues, the Senior Parade will take place at the Maize High School campus instead of parading throughout Maize.
“The parade route was changed. It will start at the baseball/softball fields, go around the school, come to the parking lot, go through horseshoe two or three times and that’s it,” head counselor Lyn Brown said.
The decision was not made by any part of the senior class but by the city and campus police.
“I believe that they thought because it’s during the time when there are many people taking kids to classes [to] all of the other Maize schools that it was kind of a conflict that way, stopping traffic, and that it was a security and a safety issue,” Brown said.
