Maize has five wrestlers attending state this weekend. One of which is junior Alex Hydock.
Hydock started wrestling due to the influence of his neighbor who also wrestled.
After six days of wrestling a week Hydock is prepared for a match. The strategy of keeping his head calm and clear continuously leads him to victory.
“I try and work as hard as I can but sometimes when I’m hungry it’s hard to do that,” Hydock said.
Hydock, who owns the school record in take downs, will be competing for Maize this weekend at Hartman Arena.
