After being out for several weeks with a grade three separated clavicle, senior Chris Clemons will be able to return for state.
Clemons has been out for about six weeks and has made major progress.
Although Clemons is excited to get back in the water, he is also a little nervous.
“I’m not really expecting much, it’s just being able to go to state and swim,” Clemons said.
Clemons was not suppose to return until the middle of March, but with progress and a little convincing of the doctor, he was able to get back into the pool last week and has been cleared to return fully back to swimming Feb. 9.
Clemons plans on swimming the 50 freestyle at the state swim meet in Feb. 20 in Topeka.
