Special education department to benefit from SOC Walk

The Special Education will receive a portion of the money raised in the walk.
The Special Education department will receive a portion of the money raised in the walk.

The Support Our Circle walk takes place at 10 a.m. Feb. 21 at Intrust Bank Arena.

The SOC walk is a fundraiser put on by the Arc of Sedgwick County in which schools team up to raise money for activities throughout the year.

“Many schools are dependent on the Arc for support for activities, so events like these help a lot,” special education teacher Thea Lippoldt said.

A portion of the money goes towards events for special education students such as bowling trips, Tanganyika, bingo night and a mall trip.
