At a heated varsity soccer game against Andover Central, sophomore Jake Pfeifer was kicked in the mouth.

“I bent down a little bit and he swung his leg out to the side and got me in the mouth,” Pfeifer said.

He got his lateral incisor knocked out and the two central incisors pushed back into his mouth.

“I have to go back to the orthodontist and endodontist every two weeks, ” Pfeifer said. “They have to make sure that the tooth that came out isn’t dead and the two teeth that were moved back isn’t growing into the bone.”

Pfeifer now has to wear a mouthguard every game.

“I was nervous my first game back but not anymore,” Pfeifer said.
