Boys soccer win 7-2 against Salina Central

Boys soccer will take on Andover Central for the first league game.
Boys soccer will take on Andover Central for the first league game Sept. 9.

Boys soccer defeated Salina Central 7-2 at the Titan Classic on Sept. 6. The team placed third overall in the tournament. The team will have their next game Sept. 9 away at Andover Central at 6:30.

“Coming off of a loss, winning felt great. Especially for a captain, and scoring three goals myself, it felt great,” senior Jose Diaz said.

The loss from the Liberal game motivated them to work even harder to win.

“We ran a lot more this game and our communication was a lot better. Losing to Liberal fueled us to do better against Salina, and it really showed us where we were at and what we needed to work on,” junior Alan Sanchez said.

The boys soccer team will have their next game tomorrow against Andover at 6:30 in Andover.
