The theater students have been working for several weeks constructing the set and preparing for the show Sept. 11-13. The performance begins at 7:30 P.M. in the auditorium. Tickets are $4 for students and $5 for adults.
In the comedy about vacations, a young writer named Don Browning, played by senior Nick Wynn, embarks on a road trip to bring his father’s ashes to his childhood home. With flashbacks and laughs, the audience will be taken on his journey through Iowa.
“It’s a fun and funny show with lots of heartfelt moments and everyone should come,” junior Sophie Wagner said.
Students auditioned before summer break and were given scripts. There are eight actors in the show, and four of them play a multitude of characters. Wagner said that playing several characters is fun but also challenging. Senior Rachel Brand and juniors Noah and Lucas Farney are also playing five or more characters.
“It’s more fun with a small cast because you become a family,” Wagner said.
