Head baseball coach Rocky Helm got his 300th win yesterday as the baseball team went on to defeat Newton twice in their double header 4-0 and 10-5.
“When I look back at it a long time from now it’ll be really special,” Helm said. “But at the time, I was just worried about getting better.”
With the two wins the team now moves into first place in the AVCTL.
“We have to win one to share and two to have it out right,” Helm said while explaining how to the conference.
The teams next game will be against Bishop Carroll at 6 p.m. Friday at home.
