Video: Johnson’s joins Botts in fight against cancer
In a surprise show of support, Kansas State quarterback and Maize High alumni Avery Johnson created a season-long fundraiser for his former principal Dr. Chris Botts. With every touchdown scored this season, Johnson encouraged his supporters to make pledges and donations to help Botts in his fight against cancer.

Senior Katelyn Coffey is in her first year on the One Maize staff. She is also the Head Editor of the Maize High Yearbook. Katelyn has won 2nd place regionally 2 years in a row and won 4th place at the Kansas Scholastic Press Association competition.
