Video: Maize Elementary celebrates weeks long school marathon
In hopes of teaching students the importance of setting goals and working hard, Maize Elementary School embarked on a months long marathon. After miles and miles of running, the Maize Elementary School parents and staff hosted a celebration to honor the students and their efforts.

Ian Twist, Videographer
Ian Twist is a senior at Maize South High School, and this is his fourth consecutive year in Converged Media. He enjoys weightlifting and working on cars that aren’t European or JDM. He plans to attend the University of Kansas to pursue a career in film and sports media.
Noah Byer, Videographer
Senior Noah Byer is in his fourth year on the OneMaize Media Staff as a videographer. After high school, he hopes to go into a field that involves sports/ sports media. He likes football and in his free time enjoys hanging out with friends.
Kadence Shook, Videographer, Journalist, Photographer
Kadence Shook is in her fourth year on the One Maize Media staff as a journalist and photographer. She is an officer for the Maize FFA Chapter, a Red Rage Leader, and does track. She loves to travel and fly on planes as well as spend time with her best friends. Shook plans to further her education and major in food science at Butler Community College.
Junior, Hailey Blurton has been apart of OneMaize Media for 2 years. Hailey has won several Best of SNO awards, filmed 3 wedding, and had the opportunity to travel to Orlando, Florida, to film the PopTart Bowl. Other than journalism and broadcasting, Hailey also enjoys working at McAlister’s and hanging out with her friends.
Junior, Colton Forrest, is in his second full year of OneMaize Media. Colton and a group of OneMaize Media members went to the Pop Tart Bowl in Orlando last December to cover the game. He also has filmed a couple of weddings. Besides working at a carwash he likes to spend his time hanging out with friends.
