Girls basketball prepares for state on Wednesday

The girls basketball team won the sub-state tournament on Friday defeating Garden City 62-38. The team will now move on to the state tournament.

“We feel excited, ready to go,” Coach Jerrod Handy said. “We just feel like we’re talented enough and we got the players to do it.”

In order for the team to do this, they need to take care of the ball along with shooting the ball as well.

“We can’t have turnovers,” Handy said. “We got to make shots.”

The team will play at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday at Koch Arena against Blue Valley North.
