For every 345 kids born in the U.S., 1 is born with cerebral palsy as a birth defect. Maize sophomore Kyndal Sphar is a part of the rare percentage of kids affected by cerebral palsy, yet she gives it her all each day towards walking independently.

Kyndal was my favorite in daycare. I remember the day they told me what was wrong . A sad day but we worked through it. All the kids treated her just like everyone else. She was a special strong little girl. Now she is a strong lady. Keep up the good work and be strong. We love you!
