Boys basketball to advance to sub-state

Boys basketball beat Newton 49-38 last Friday to put them in the first round of sub-state and win a share of the AVCTL championship title.

“I thought we would go far and I think we can still go farther and go to state,” senior Kavan Jobe said, “I am very excited and I think it will be fine, I don’t think anyone is nervous.”

They will take on Campus at 7  p.m. Thursday at home and if won, the boys will play again at home on Saturday against either Hutchinson or Dodge City.
