Due to the snow days on Feb. 4, 5 and 6 all elementary, middle and high schools in the Maize district will have their school days lengthened by five minutes.
This change will take place after Spring Break on March 24 and will continue through the remaining school year.
“This was an administrative decision that the school board agreed to and it’s a way that the district can make up the snow days without having to add an extra day to the school year,” Director of Communications Lori Buselt said.
If any future snow days occur, extra days will be added onto the school year.
