Of course by now you have probably heard of the chicken sandwich debate between Popeyes and Chick-fil-A.

This all started when Popeyes came out with its very first chicken sandwich, causing a Twitter war between them and Chick-fil-A. By having a Twitter war between the two restaurants, this started to stir up a lot of mixed feelings for customers of both companies about whose sandwich was the best.

Now because customers were unsure who’s chicken sandwich was the best, this caused the whole thing to blow and very soon, everyone wanted to try the new Popeyes chicken sandwich and really see if it was truly better than Chick-fil-A’s.

“I thought that overall the feud was pretty amusing,” Brittany Smith, junior, said. “Chick-fil-A is such a big corporation that is known for their chicken sandwiches and the to have Popeyes come in with their own chicken sandwich was all pretty funny to me. I personally prefer Chick-fil-A though.”

Quite a few people thought that the feud was entertaining, however they also felt like the whole thing got blown out of proportion.

“I though that the feud got really over hyped,” Salyia McKibbin, junior, said. “ I think the Popeyes chicken sandwich was good but it isn’t something I would want to eat again, I still think Chick-fil-A has the better sandwich.”

While some people stuck with Chick-fil-A others moved on and thought that Popeyes had the better chicken sandwich and had beaten Chick-fil-A.

“I personally thought that Popeyes chicken sandwich was way better than Chick-fil-A’s chicken sandwich,” Trent Dryden, freshman, said. “I just think the entire sandwich in general was way better than what I get at Chick-fil-A.

While both companies have gotten local and national media attention from the food feud, the majority of people still stand by Chick-fil-A and their chicken sandwich being a superior option over the Popeyes option.
