This year’s Olympics interesting for many reasons. One of the biggest reasons that this year’s Olympics is interesting is because of the game’s location. They will be held at Pyeongchang, South Korea.

“I think that this year’s Olympics will be very unique because of all the controversies with the different countries,”Callie Feist, 9, said.

Another reason that this year will be interesting is because of how North and South Korea have been in conflict for many years before the two countries came together to form a unified women’s hockey team.

“I think it’s going to be interesting that North and South Korea are going into the Olympics as a team,” Alexa Blair,11, said. “It’ll be fun to watch and I can’t wait to see who wins gold.”

Also all the snow for the 2018 manufacturby a company that has provided snow for the last five winter Olympics. This company has been working on the snow for the 2018 Olympics for three years now.

“I like the winter Olympics more because I like the ice skating, and I really like the ski jumping,” Feist said.

The opening ceremonies took place on Feb. 9, and the games will continue until Feb. 25.
