Every year South’s sports team take time out of their pregame or match warm-ups to introduce the graduating class. This years graduating class consists of Nathan Troung, Trevor Petty, Evan McGuire, Devin Benter, Matt Giesler, Drayton Weidner, Brody Hanna and Chris Traudt.

The seniors were introduced before the Newton game on Oct. 18.

“It was nice, pretty average time.” Drayton Weidner, 12, said.

The game against the Newton Railers didn’t affect their regional standing or who they would play; however, the game played an important role in their preparation for regionals.

“The Newton game didn’t affect our regional standing.” Jonah Clevenger, 10, said.

South’s boys team will continue to play in the regional tournament Oct. 24 against Valley Center.

“We are hoping for a stronger game.” Clevenger said, “We want to have a different outcome than the last time we played Valley.”
