SAFE decorates hallways for the holidays

The safe club put up some great hallway decorations before winter break.

This week the hallways were decorated with snowflakes and christmas colors. The group that spent time decorating the holidays was SAFE Club. Nurse Dana Desjardins is the sponsor of SAFE.

“I had nothing to do with it,” Desjardins said. “Of course, I helped decorate and I donated money.”

Alyssa Blase was the person that came up with all the ideas.

“She [Blase] was the one that came up with the idea and she’s the one who got everyone in safe to help her,” Desjardins said.

Blase said she was trying to make something that everyone can enjoy.

“I was trying to make something people would enjoy mainly from childhood films,” Blase said.

Blase’s favorite hallway was the one with all the blue lighting and tons of snowflakes hanging from the ceiling.

“I like the winter wonderland hall because I like all the snowflakes,” Blase said.

She didn’t do it all by herself though. She had a lot of help from her peers in safe club who were more than willing to help out.

“Her peers helped a lot every day,” Disjardens said “They did a great job.”
