The ACT Test scheduled for October 2 is canceled. It is unknown when the test will be rescheduled.

Update: The test has been rescheduled for Oct. 16.

Maize USD 266 has recently been informed that the ACT Test scheduled for Tuesday, October 2 has been cancelled.

“According to ACT, the organization ‘has received credible evidence that there was a compromise in the testing process related to the October 2 test date,” Maize USD 266 said in a Facebook post. “As a result, ACT took the difficult but appropriate step of cancelling the October 2 test administration to ensure the exam is fair and valid for all examinees'”.

All seniors in the district were scheduled to take the test.

“I think it is helpful to seniors because it gives us more time to study,” Maize High senior Shalee Prichard said.

Although it’s still unknown what exactly caused this to occur, the district said the cancellation is to ensure the exam is fair and valid for all examinees.
