The soccer team played Great Bend yesterday in the first round of regionals. They finished the game with a win with a score of 3-2.

Senior Will Thompson finished with a hat trick, scoring all of the team’s goals.

At half time, they were tied 1-1. Thompson scored the second goal early into the second half, then he scored their final goal near the end of the game.

“I was getting mad because the other team’s parents were yelling at me,” Thompson said. “So when I scored my first goal, I made sure that they knew it.”

Thompson said that the team passed and communicated well throughout the whole game.

The soccer boys are back in action for round two of regional at Eisenhower at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
