A scene for the PSA video was shot at the Sedgwick county courthouse.

Junior Jaeyd Schoonover creates a PSA Video

March 17, 2017

Junior Jaeyd Schoonover will be entering a Public Service Announcement video in a contest to possibly win scholarship money. The video, shot on March 16, is about texting and driving.

“It’s about a popular teenage boy who is texting on his way home and killed a girl,” Schoonover said.

The film was shot in multiple different locations such as Maize High and Sedgwick County historical courthouse.

“I thought it would be a good opportunity for scholarship money for college,” Schoonover said.

First place reward is $1,000 and second place reward is $500, and it gets aired across Kansas and Kansas City.

“It has to be submitted by April 1 but I have no idea when the winner will be announced,” Schoonover said.
