The girls varsity golf team took third in their regionals tournament on Oct. 10. Maize competed against Liberal, Arkansas City, Eisenhower, Goddard, Great Bend and Bishop Carroll. The tournament was Hosted at Willow Tree Golf Course in Liberal.

“We could have done better, but our goal was to qualify for state as a team and we did,” junior Bailey Stedman said.

Stedman took 6th, junior Amber Donker took seventh, senior Gabi Desjardins took tenth, Hannah Sheuermann took eleventh and sophomore Riley Farrell took twelfth.

The varsity team will be competing at state on Oct. 17.
