Mr. Maize, the annual pageant for senior guys scheduled for Wednesday, has been canceled. It was not clear why.

Senior Lucas Faney said he is disappointed he was not able to compete in this year’s Mr. Maize.

“I was going to play an improv game called secret word,” Farney said.

In this act he would get three words from the audience, then different actors would enter and exit and Farney would have to pull together a scene and guess what the three words are at the end of the scene.

Farney thought he had a good chance of winning this year’s Mr. Maize pageant because we was homecoming king earlier in the year.
