The varsity wrestling team placed fifth at their home tournament on Jan. 9.

Senior Brett Moon and freshman Aidan Campbell placed first in the tournament. Moon is ranked second in the state in his weight category. Other wrestlers that placed are junior Zac Grantham and senior Alex Hydock.

Campbell has set goals for this season. He said he wants to place third in state this year.

Despite being one of two freshmen on the wrestling team, he believes being one of the youngest on the team isn’t bad.

“You just got to learn how to listen to upperclassmen I guess,” Campbell said.

The next tournament will be Friday at Newton High School.
