The volleyball team lost to both Derby and Newton on Tuesday at the Triangle Tournament.

The girls started out behind in their first game against Newton but ended up pulling together as a team to give Derby some competition.

“We were up by a lot in the second set but we lost it, it was still good to know we have the capability to win,” senior Josi Johnson said. 

The volleyball team will play Oct. 17 at Emporia.
