The 15th annual Maize High Blood Drive already has students lining up, ready to donate blood to the Red Cross.
The sign up list is already full for October, but another blood drive will be held in the spring.
“The students have the benefit of knowing that each one of them has saved three lives with their donations of a pint of blood,” KAY Club representative Suzanne McKaig said.
Students who do sign up to donate blood also have a chance to receive a $250 scholarship given by the Red Cross.
The requirements to donate blood include being at least 17, (16 with parents permission).
