Senior and linebacker Dalton Rupp is out for the season with two labral tears in his shoulder.
The injury actually happened last season in the Eagles’ game against Derby.
“I went to go tackle a kid and as I landed on the ground one of Derby’s offensive lineman fell on me and I heard a pop. At first I thought I dislocated it,” Rupp said.
Although Rupp has been playing with his injury all this time, the pain hasn’t gone away.
“During our previous game against Salina Central, I couldn’t move my arm up because the pain was so bad,” Rupp said. “We went to the doctor the other day and there’s nothing they can do at this point other than surgery which is what we are going to do.”
Rupp will be getting his surgery Oct. 8.
