Video: “Experienced” gamers try virtual reality for the first time
Video games have been a part of teenage pop culture dating back to the 1980’s. For some Maize High staff, their gaming experience seemed to be a part of their past. OneMaize Media decided to give those staffers a taste of what video games look like in 2024.

Jack Debes is in his 2nd year of One Maize Media. Last year he won best of sno along a few lesser awards. This year he hopes to really bring his editing skills to the next level. He plays a lot of drums and trys to be as involved as possible with everything percussion. He is in several rock bands and music projects. (He's also the better twin - Katelyn Coffey)
Senior Katelyn Coffey is in her first year on the One Maize staff. She is also the Head Editor of the Maize High Yearbook. Katelyn has won 2nd place regionally 2 years in a row and won 4th place at the Kansas Scholastic Press Association competition. She loves composing music on her guitar and piano in her free time along with listening to her diverse record and CD collection. Katelyn plans on going into the journalism field after graduation as a sports photographer.
