The Choir group held its vocal performance on October 7, showcasing a variety of songs by different groups within the ensemble.
The Madrigal Girls and Boys performed separate songs, with the additional pressure of solo performances adding intensity to their sets.
The choir opened with “In the Air” by Phil Collins, continued by “24k Magic” by Bruno Mars, and “Stepping Out.”
The Select Choir Women sang an acapella version of “La Vie En Rose,” the iconic 1940s piece made famous by Édith Piaf. Then the Madrigals sang “Java Jive,” a song recorded by the Ink Spots in 1935. The small group also sang a rendition of “From the Start” by Laufey.
In the mens’ section, they tackled “Blue Suede Shoes” and “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran.
The entire choir concluded the evening with a powerful medley from the musical “& Juliet,” including “Larger Than Life,” “I Want It That Way,” “Baby One More Time,” and “Can’t Stop the Feeling.”
