Football players and their families will be serving up pancakes beginning at 7:30 a.m. Saturday in the Commons to raise money for their team. Tickets are $5 per person and will be sold all week and at the door.
The Football Backers booster club runs the feed to raise money for the team to use for food for away games and other necessities.
“It’s a way to bring our football family and the community together,” coach Gary Guzman said.
Aside from the food, there also will be a silent auction.
“The auction is intense,” junior football player Dustin Kanae said. “Everyone goes after one thing, and it gets pretty competitive.”
Items in the auction will include tickets to Wingnuts, Shockers and Chiefs games and gift cards to area restaurants.
