Last Thursday, girls bowling took first in regionals with a total score of 2,358 at West Acres. They beat out Wichita Southeast by 18 pins and will be going to state.
Junior Brenton Mauldin placed fifth in individuals with game scores of 235, 169, and 230. He qualified for state along with the girls.
“I wasn’t expecting to qualify for state with my second game score,” Mauldin said.
The state bowling tournament will be held Thursday at Northrock.
“I’m excited to represent the boys bowling team,” he said.
