The girls won their basketball game Tuesday against Derby 61-37. Junior Keiryn Swenson led the team in scoring with 19 points in the game.
“I thinked they played really well,” coach Jerrod Handy said. “We played with a lot of energy and a lot of focus.”
The girls basketball team had to come back after a few days rest because of the large amount of snow the area got. Overall Handy thinks it didn’t affect them.
“We were able to practice most days when they had snow days,” Handy said. “We had a couple days off.”
The team will be in action again at 6 p.m. on Friday at Campus.
