The girls lost their second game of the season to Salina Central on Tuesday 49-46.
“We got ahead and we got in a hurry,” head coach Jerrod Handy said. “We turned the ball over too many times and that happened throughout the game.”
Defense was also a problem for the team.
“We left one of their players open too much,” Handy said. “We knew she was a good three-point shooter and she hurt us.”
Handy thinks that the lost will affect the team in a good way, rather than a bad way.
“It just makes us more focused,” Handy said. “Sometimes you’ve got to go through the valley to get to the hills.
The girls team will play at 6 p.m. tonight at Word of Life Traditional High School.
