Traditions play a large role during the Christmas season; whether it is specific foods, religion or even traveling, traditions are a major part of the season.
“Every year we open all our gifts on Christmas Eve,” sophomore Brookylnn Wood said. “We always go to Ulysses and get a horse carriage and eat steak on Christmas day.”
Going to church is also something that many families do to celebrate the holiday.
“My family goes to midnight mass and then comes home to get ready for the holiday,” senior Ashley Balza said.
Some families travel during the holidays to visit relatives as well.
“We always travel to my grandparents house during the Christmas season to visit them,” senior Sam Bennett said. “We eat ham and open our presents at noon on Christmas.”
