The Maize varsity girls soccer team defeated Northwest 5-0 on Monday.

Senior Cammie Davis made the first two goals within 10 minutes in the first half. Davis said she thinks her team could best improve by working on their chemistry.

“I feel like our team isn’t working as a team yet,” Davis said. “Individually we’re all doing well, but I think our chemistry needs to be better.”

Senior Payton Eskridge made the third goal of the game. She said she thinks this last game was a step up from the games before in this season.

“We looked a lot more like the team that I know we’ve been this whole season,” Eskridge said.
