Once a year the girls volleyball team hosts two rounds of Dig Pink volleyball. The tournament raises money for the Susan G. Komen foundation for breast cancer awareness. This year the junior and senior boys played their first round last Wed. and with the seniors winning, they played a second round against staff during EnCor Thurs. to raise more money.
“This year we raised 283 dollars and that’s super great compared to past years,” volleyball coach Betsy Manning said.
Manning is the girls varsity volleyball coach so she knew what she was doing during the game, unlike some of the other inexperienced teachers.
“The boys ended up winning the game but we’re old so its okay,” Manning said.
For the past three years students have come to enjoy the teams battle it out on the court.
“I was surprised because I thought they were going to be a lot better than they were, but it was still really fun,” senior and player Brady Hoover said.
