Senior Taelyn Entriken took second overall shooting a 78 in the cold windy conditions. Senior Ashley Reiswig took 4th, junior Brooke Johanson took 5th and senior Lauren Copp took 9th as the eagles came back to win regionals .
“It was a little rough on the front nine,” head coach Ben Harlow said. “As a group they played the best nine holes our team has ever played to come back and win.”
Weather was a factor for every team yesterday as it was drizzly and windy the whole day.
“Not ideal golfing conditions by no means,” Harlow said.
After seeing what the other teams did in their regionals, Harlow believes that the team has a shot at placing at state.
“We need to have a good day on Monday for the state tournament,” Harlow said.
“They need to stay focused, have great attitudes, and work really hard between now and next Monday.”
The girls golf team play at Garden City on Monday, Oct. 21.
