The school board met on Monday to put the 2018-2019 school year schedule into place.

The first day of school has been set on August 14 for freshmen and new students.

All other students will resume school the following day, Aug. 15.

The board decided that Professional Development Days will take place on Oct. 15, Feb. 15 and May 10.

Parent-teacher conferences will be held Sept. 26-27 and April 17-18.

The first seasonal break that will occur is fall break, which will begin Nov. 19 and end Nov. 23 This only includes the schools days, not the weekends.

Maize’s longest break will begin December 22. The last day of class will be December 21, and school will pick back up on January 7.

The next break that was placed into the calendar will be spring break, which is March 11-15, this also is only including the week days.  

The last day of school will be May 22, followed by a teacher work day.
