Sophomore Remington Boor plans to follow his sisters path and become a graphic designer after he graduates.

Editor’s note: This is a series of stories that will spotlight Maize students chosen at random. The idea comes from reporter Steve Hartman’s series formerly broadcast on CBS News.

Sophomore Remington Boor’s biggest role model is his older sister, Devan Horning.

Horning is a current college student at Wichita State University in the art and design program. She is currently in the process of obtaining a degree in Graphic Design.

Boor plans to do the same, pursuing his own degree in design and eventually becoming a graphic designer.

Boor was first introduced to Graphic Design through the class offered here at Maize.

“I started in the class and it [Graphic Design] was pretty fun,” Boor said.

Within the next couple years, Boor will be interning in the marketing department at ICM in Colwich, KS. ICM is a company in Colwich that produces and believes in the importance in renewable energy sources.

Boor also enjoys being involved in unconventional athletic activities. He is currently enrolled in weight lifting this semester and is also a member of the newly established Trap Shooting team.
