The volleyball team placed third at a tournament at home on Saturday.

The girls played Garden City, Eisenhower, Hutchinson, Newton, and Kapaun. They were undefeated until they fell to Newton.

The team then played Garden City for third place and won.

“We knew it would be a tough game,” senior Julie Ledbetter said. “We knew we are capable of giving more and now we are ready to play them again and get a win out of it.”

Volleyball plays again against Newton at Maize on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
