Volleyball season update
August 31, 2017
The volleyball team competed in their first tournament of the season on Saturday. The Eagles went 5 to 1 losing their only game to Andover High School.
“We just had a lot of errors and I would have to attribute that to fatigue.” Coach Betsy Manning said. “We were there from 7 a.m. and then we didn’t leave until after 9 p.m. that night, it was a very long day.”
Manning said the team is planning to work on unity and being a selfless team.
“We are already more cohesive than most teams but that’s just something that you have to continue working on,” Manning said.
The Eagles reclaimed their victory against Andover on Tuesday.
“We just came back ready to win we really wanted redemption and it was on their home court so it was really exciting to beat them” senior volleyball player, Kaitlyn Blume said.
The Eagles will be back at it against Haysville on September 5th at haysville.
